Climate Change Advisory Board

Climate change – a global challenge

The “Climate Change Advisory Board” (CCAB), which started its work in April 2008, advises our management when it comes to strategic questions, business risks and climate-related issues.

The CCAB consists of ten experts from business, politics and the scientific community, who represent both industrial nations and emerging markets such as Brazil and China. The composition of the CCAB reflects the Bank’s global reach and the international nature of the challenge posed by climate change.

The CCAB members meet with the Environmental Steering Committee (ESC) twice a year. In addition to these two main meetings, the two committees conduct an ongoing dialog in smaller committees dealing with specific topics, such as energy efficiency.
