ISO 14001 certification
Having our actions examined
At the beginning of 2010 we have extended the sustainability management system certification procedure to our Italian offices. Other countries and regions will follow in the recertification cycle 2009 – 2011.
Every year we have our sustainability management system and the implementation of our program reviewed by internal auditors from the area of Group Sustainability and by the independent certifier Det Norske Veritas. The latter not only examines conformity with ISO 14001 standards, but also checks the extent to which we have achieved the goals set in all ESG areas and made improvements. In addition, the audits point to areas for potential optimization. In 2009 the periodic audit once again verified our compliance with all mandatory standards until 2011.
Regional extension
In the current recertification cycle (2008 – 2011) we aim to integrate our sustainability management system more effectively at the regional level, for example in Spain, Japan or South Africa.
