Renewable energies
In 2009 we expanded our renewable power purchasing program further and obtained 69 percent of our global electricity needs from renewable sources – 21 percentage points more than in the previous year.
We have centralized our energy suppliers’ contract management. Renewable energy contracts were executed or renewed in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Spain, and the United States.
For our achievements, Deutsche Bank was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as one of three companies to be named a “Green Power Partner of the Year.”
